We bought this for our 5 year old son's room. We didn't want to pay too much for a desk considering his age. The price was good for what we were looking for at this time. When our child is a little older we will purchase a real wood desk. My husband had to secure the hutch by screwing it into the wall. We didn't want to take a chance with it falling over, because the hutch is pretty flimsy.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. It was easy to assemble, matched her bedroom furniture perfectly, and is a great size for her with room to grow. I did notice one of the drawers was separating at the joint, but I popped it right back together, I don't think I used enough of the glue at time of assembly. We love it though!
